3-5 Year-old Class Spring Session 2016

We use the spiral-up approach to build on learners’ cultural awareness and language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.

Lessons are correlated with their daily environment. The curriculum helps learners to develop from basic to complex Chinese sentences. As they move up each level, their language proficiency progresses by revolving their learning experience through interactive classroom activities, in-class assessments, homework exercises, hands-on projects, school events, applications in their daily environment, opportunities to enhance language skills through summer programs in China or with native Chinese speakers, learning resources, online and at-home support.

Upon completing all the levels, students will recognize at least 1,200-1,500 characters, including additional cultural reading materials introduced in Level 5 to 8. Our language classes not only intend to help students improve their language proficiency, but also to prepare and qualify them to take SAT II or AP Chinese exam, which they can receive college credits upon passing.
